New Archives Technician Gabe Loredo
PHS is excited to welcome Gabe Loredo as the new Archives Technician. Their first day is August 23rd.
A visual artist who recently graduated from Temple University's Tyler School of Art & Architecture, Gabe’s interest in archives and storytelling came into focus during an internship at Girard College in Philadelphia. Gabe’s experiences curating and archiving inspires their art.
At PHS, Gabe will be responsible for digitizing church records and items from the Society’s collections, archiving PC(USA) websites, and helping with communications efforts.
Digitization Coordinator Allison Davis looks forward to Gabe’s first day.
“I am so incredibly excited for Gabe to join our digitization team!” Davis said. “Their unique experience as both a studio artist and a computer technician and developer, plus their enthusiasm for engaging with the public, makes them such a valuable addition to PHS.”
Gabe will join a team dedicated to making archival records accessible to researchers in the building and virtually through Pearl, the Society’s digital archive.
