The Presbyterian Historical Society is thrilled to welcome three new staff members this winter.

Records Manager Kyna Herzinger began on January 18. Kyna came to PHS from the University of Louisville’s Archives and Special Collections where she spent five years as the Archivist for University Records and Records Manager. Kyna will be working out of the Presbyterian Center in Louisville, KY, and will administer the records management program for the PC(USA) agencies, ensuring that records of permanent value are transferred to PHS for long term preservation.

Communications Associate McKenna Britton joined the PHS staff in Philadelphia on January 24. McKenna holds a graduate degree in Public History, is originally from the Sunshine State, and most recently worked as the archivist at the Berks History Center in Reading, PA. McKenna will support the communications work of PHS as a creator and coordinator of content, including our digital platforms.

Processing Archivist Nick Skaggs began his work at PHS on January 31. Nick recently worked as a processing archivist for four years at Louisiana State University (LSU) Libraries’ Special Collections where he processed and provided access to manuscript collections and archival materials. Nick will plan and execute archival processing of personal paper and records collections at PHS, with a particular focus on advancing current and future collecting initiatives, such as the Pam Byers Memorial Collection.
