New York, Spring Street Presbyterian Church

According to The Seventy-fifth Anniversary of Old Spring Street Presbyterian Church, New York, the Spring Street Presbyterian Church in New York City, was organized in 1811. A new church building was constructed on the corner of Laight and Varick Streets in 1825, and part of the congregation moved to that location. Other members continued Spring Street Presbyterian Church at the original location and briefly united with the Reformed Church in America. Laight Street was dissolved in 1843, but the original Spring Street congregation continued and in 1838, joined the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. (New School). In 1870, after the Old School/New School division ended, it reunited with the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. The congregation was dissolved in 1963.
