PHS Friends With the equivalent of about 11,000 filing cabinet drawers of archival material and over 250,000 books, we preserve the original documents that shape our history, documenting Colonial America, foreign mission work, the Civil War, the Native American experience, 20th century women's and social justice issues, and many other topics. Indeed, our archives tells the story of how the American Presbyterian Church is woven into the life, culture, politics, and history of our great nation and the world. The Presbyterian Historical Society has a unique opportunity to share with the world what history has taught us about the religious, social and human experience. We invite you to learn more about our work and support our efforts to ensure the future of our past by becoming a Friend. |
