Presbyterian Historical Society Announces Online Access to CALVIN

The Presbyterian Historical Society is pleased to announce the availability of CALVIN, the society's on-line catalog. The catalog contains records for over 75,000 books, periodicals, and processed archival collections housed at the society's headquarters in Philadelphia and regional office in Montreat, North Carolina.
Contained in CALVIN are bibliographic records for materials cataloged by the society since 1980 including:

Published histories of congregations and other books
Congregation, presbytery, and synod records
Processed collections of archival records and personal papers
Microfilm and other audio-visual materials
CALVIN does not include records for most materials cataloged by the Society before 1980 or for archival collections not yet prepared or available for research use.
The CALVIN records for processed archival collections also contain links to the society's finding aids which are detailed descriptions of the content of these collections. You may also search and browse these finding aids separately from CALVIN on the society's website at: http://www.history.pcusa.org/finding/index.html.
The Presbyterian Historical Society is the national archives and research center of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Its mission is to collect, preserve, and share the history of the American Presbyterian and Reformed tradition. It maintains its headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, a regional office in Montreat, NC, and a records management program in Louisville, KY. The Society serves all levels of the denomination, congregations across the nation, scholars, genealogists, and the general public.
