RG 412, Arthur and Helen Romig Papers, 1931-1988, (0.58 cu.ft.) The Romigs served as missionaries in China from 1931 until the early 1940s. The collection includes correspondence, reports, and diaries from 1937-1941 that are particularly rich in describing the impact of Japanese aggression on missionary efforts in China. The collection also documents efforts to evacuate foreign missionaries from China after U.S. entry into World War II.
