The following manuscript collection has been processed and is open for research in the Philadelphia office:

Clarence Shannon LongRG 6, Clarence Shannon Long Papers, 1770-1956 (5.50 cu.ft.) Long (1878-1957) was a prominent Philadelphia minister, serving several area churches including Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church from 1917-1957. The collection, including 2.00 cu.ft. of recently added material, contains sermons, correspondence, pastoral records, photographs, and records documenting Long's stint as a teacher at the Deaconess House and Philadelphia School for Christian Workers.

The following manuscript collections have been processed and are open for research at the Montreat office:

Robert Lewis Dabney Papers, 1840-1890 (2 cu. ft.). A pre-eminent theologian of the post-bellum South, Dabney (1820-1898) was a minister in Virginia, professor at Union Theological Seminary (Virginia), and Moderator of the PCUS General Assembly in 1870. This collection includes correspondence and lecture notes and also sermons by Francis Sampson (1814-1854), a professor at UTS (Virginia).

Gene Nesbit Lindler Papers, 1949-1953 (0.5 cu. ft.). Lindler (1920-1989) was a PCUS medical missionary in South Korea from 1949 to 1953. This collection contains correspondence.

John Newton Waddel Papers, c.1792-c. 1901 (1 cu. ft.). Waddel (1812-1895) was a minister and prominent educator in the South. He also served as Stated Clerk of the PCCSA and, in 1868, as Moderator of the PCUS General Assembly. This collection includes correspondence and sermons as well as papers of Waddel's father, Moses (1770-1840), who ran the Willington Academy in South Carolina.

Joseph Ruggles Wilson Papers, late 19th c. (0.25 cu. ft.). J. R. Wilson (1824-1903), the father of Woodrow Wilson, was a minister in Virginia, Georgia, and the Carolinas. He taught at Columbia Theological Seminary and Southwestern Presbyterian University. He served as the first permanent clerk of the PCCSA General Assembly, Stated Clerk of the PCUS (1865-1898), and Moderator of the PCUS General Assembly in 1879. This collection contains sermons.
