Presbyterian Pioneers in the Far East and the Wild West: Stories of One American Family

William Lake Leonard, Esq., will share stories and photographs of his family using materials found in the Presbyterian Historical Society. Bill's stories constitute a virtual microcosm of the history of American Presbyterianism. Among the subjects of his talk are his great aunt, who was a physician and a medical missionary instrumental in introducing modern medicine and medical education in 19th Century China, and a grandfather who was a Presbyterian minister and home missionary in Indian Territory and Oklahoma Territories.
